Because of our affiliation with AMERICAN EXPRESS we have access to one of the most comprehensive travel services and travel discount programs in the industry. All of which you can offer to your clients. In addition to the tremendous benefits for your clients, we also have the flexibility to customize our program to the needs of each Independent Contractor. We work only with dedicated leisure agents who are committed to the travel industry. Because the majority of the profit available is through Tour & Cruise bookings, that is what our Independent Contractor Program focuses on. Through our specially designed Independent Contractor web site, you will be able to research and book all of your leisure tours and cruises online from your home computer. How Do You Benefit? The first and most important benefit of working with AMT-American Express Travel, is that you will have the support of the largest seller of travel in the world, American Express. How and When Are You Paid? All ICs are paid on the 15th of each month on all monies collected from the suppliers after the completion of travel. Commission sheets must be received by accounting no later than the 10th of the month for issuance on the 15th. Our commission structure is based on your individual sales volume annually that you book with our preferred vendors. So you are free to do as much or as little with us as you wish. You will still receive all the benefits of working with AMT-American Express Travel. The commission structure is as follows: $0 to $ 60,000.00 50% of the Net Commission* $ 61,000.000 to $100,000.00 60% of the Net Commission* $101, 000.00 to $150,000.00 70% of the Net Commission* $151,000.00 to $200,000.00 80% of the Net Commission* $201,000.00 or More 90% of the Net Commission* *Commission structure based on Tours & Cruises sales only, that are booked with AMT-American Express Preferred Vendors. For any Tour or Cruise Vendors not on our Preferred list, the commissions will be 50% of the Net Commission. A $35.00 Documentation Fee is charged for every airline ticket run through AMT. There is a $10.00 charge for UPS Next-Day delivery of all documents. All transaction and handling fees will be deducted from the monthly commission checks we send you.
